There are a lot of people that work in the area of psychology that deals with love and relationships. Many of these psychologists believe that we seek out love relationships with people that resemble a parent that we have. Typically, we will have unresolved issues from our childhood with this parent. Of course, this makes it difficult for relationships to work out without you having to make the conscious decision to find someone that is different from that parent. If you do not have a parent that you have unresolved issues with, then you have nothing to really worry about when it comes to love and the person that you choose.
