If you have ever been in a relationship with someone, then chances are high that you have either given or received roses. This is because they are a symbol of love. The different colors of roses signify the different feelings of love that you may have for another person. Red roses are used to symbolize passion and love. Light pink roses typically symbolize passion and are typically given in the beginning of a relationship. Of course, there are other meanings that go along with the other colors of roses. For example, yellow roses usually stand for friendship. Keep in mind that not all roses symbolize positive feelings.

Fall in Love Before Marriage

You may not know this, but many people will fall in love a total of seven times before they get married. Of course, there are many people that decide that when they first fall in love with someone, that this will be the person that they will marry. Oddly enough, in most cases, this is not true. If you do not believe it, count all of the different people that you fell in love with before you married your significant other. You will be surprised to find that the number of people that you fell for will be close to seven.

Love and the Engagement Ring

In many cases, when people fall in love, they may decide to become engaged to get married. When the engagement happens, typically the man will place a ring on the fourth finger of his betrothed's left hand. You may think this is just a tradition, but there is a reason for this and it stems back to the ancient Greeks. They believed that this was the finger that the vein of love ran through. This vein supposedly ran straight to the heart. This is the reason why we place engagement rings on that finger today. Wedding bands are also placed on this same finger.
